Works on the new $3.825 million Overport Park Pavilion are well underway and will provide not only the club, but the Frankston community with new state-of-the-art facilities.

Overport Park is home to Frankston City’s second largest tennis and junior football clubs, one of the largest cricket clubs and two arts-based community organisations and this project provides an awesome new facility for the growing cricket and football clubs.

Large growth in the number of female participants in football and cricket in general, and at Overport Park specifically, has led to the need for female compliant amenities within sports pavilions servicing AFL and cricket.

The project is supported by $100,000 from the Victorian State Government (Paul Edbrooke MP), $19,711 from the Federal Government (Chris Crewther MP - Federal Member for Dunkley)  and a $100,000 joint contribution from the Frankston Dolphins Junior Football Club, Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club and the Baden Powell Cricket Club.

The new pavilion will include four female-friendly change rooms, umpire change rooms, a new kitchen and kiosk, a multi-purpose community room and meeting room, along with office space and first aid facilities. The upgrade will also include new public toilets.
